Halloween Ends

Happy Halloween! Here is my review of Halloween Ends, the thirteenth installment in the Halloween franchise and final film in David Gordon Green’s own Halloween trilogy that is a direct follow-up to the original 1978 classic; ignoring all the sequels. Thanks to the huge success of 2018’s Halloween, Halloween Ends was already planned even before the previous film, Halloween Kills, had been made. Kills garnered a mixed reception from critics due to its lack of story, but general audiences lapped up the hardcore violence as Michael Myers brutally cut a bloody swathe through Haddonfield like no one had ever seen him do before! This time we pick up four years later when Michael resurfaces after vanishing following the previous films events. Laurie Strode faces off for the last time against the embodiment of evil in a final confrontation.
