Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them

Fantastic Beasts is the first spin-off film of the Harry Potter franchise and inspired by J.K Rowling’s book of the same name. Though the books and films didn’t build a world or history quite as dense or in depth as The Lord of the Rings or Star Wars franchise, there is still plenty of history and back story to make this spin-off benefit from an immersive and detailed fantastical world. Set in 1920’s New York, we follow Newt Scamander, a magizoologist, with his suitcase full of magical, and fantastic, creatures. Top Ten aliens from Star Wars Part 2

Having already done top ten Orcs from The Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit film trilogies and with the release of Rogue One: A Star Wars Story fast approaching, it’s now time for my top ten favorite aliens from Star Wars! Already a difficult task, I chose not to include Jedi or Sith lords in order to focus on the more obscure and less powerful supporting characters in the film series. Top Ten Orcs part 2…

orc-army

These are my top ten favorite Orcs from The Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit trilogies. Having collected an army of Eaglemoss figurines depicting The Lord of the Rings characters, I soon assembled an army of orcs which got me thinking about which were my favorites from the two trilogies put together. Personality-wise, it is hard to distinguish between any Orc and many of them get limited screen time. Therefore, I have picked some for their unique and striking physical appearance or accoutrements that made them memorable, but others actually have character traits, dialogue and a personality that stands out from the rest.

In a Valley of Violence

A mysterious drifter named Paul and his dog Abbie make their way towards Mexico through a barren desert of the old west. To shorten their journey, they cut through the centre of a large valley, landing in the forgotten old mining town of Denton, a place now dubbed by locals as a “valley of violence.” Denton is now controlled by a brash group of misfits, chief among them is the seemingly untouchable Gilly, son of the unforgiving Marshall. The new arrival of Paul brings unforeseen tensions which soon escalate into bloody violence.
